The Topaz® KioskGem™ LCD 1x5 is a small, rugged, advanced electronic signature pad with transflective LCD that displays “electronic ink” under the pen tip during signing. It is designed for public-access and kiosk-mount application. The KioskGem LCD 1x5 mounts to a surface with no exposed cables or fasteners, and the pen is connected with a highstress tether rated at 160 lbs.
The included special pen and the sensor guarantee an outstanding quality of signature capture on the pad - with the exceptional feature that the movements of the pen in the air are also recorded. This special pen, which is battery-free and has a replaceable tip, records 1,024 pressure levels and transmits the signature at a rate of up to 500 Hz. Due to the robust construction of the sensor, a very long lifetime of approximately 30 million signatures can be achieved.
